Workshop Description:
Beautiful hanging baskets will flower from mid-May all the way until the first frost of the year (usually mid to late October here in Vermont). They are a sight to behold and are sure to bring you tons of joy on your porch, balcony or backyard deck where they’ll bring beauty, aroma and pollinators to your home. Together in this workshop, we will hand-form a moss liner and assemble a selection of plants for either a shade or sun location. We’ll discuss techniques for planting and layering your basket to create a stunning visual impact that’s overflowing with blooms. We’ll also discuss how to water and feed your basket with organic fertilizers and foliar feed to ensure it continues growing for the entire season. Finally, participants will learn about the importance and technique of deadheading flowers for a continuous blooms all season.
Join us for an afternoon at the greenhouses where we will enjoy herbal lemonades under the twinkling lights and take in the sights and smells of all the blooming flowers around us. This event is BYOB.
