Workshop Description:
Are you ready to garden with your little one? Let us help them start their first garden this summer with this beginner’s workshop that’s sure to foster a love for gardening. Gardening is a great way to teach little ones about how food is grown, while also fostering responsibility and developing a love for nature. They’ll gain valuable skills tracking their progress weekly and caring for their veggie starts throughout the season.
For this workshop, we’ve chosen easy-to-grow varieties that aren’t fussy and will allow them to track their progress weekly and harvest their first crop in one season. We’ve also provided grow bags, a portable option that can be used many times in any outdoor location.
Join us for an afternoon at the greenhouses where we will enjoy agua frescas under the twinkling lights and take in the sights and smells of all the blooming flowers around us while teaching the little ones how to pot up their veggie starts!
