Workshop Description:
Pollinators are vital for our future! In this workshop, join us as we assemble pollinator planters that will provide these industrious animals with a delicious feast of flowers to feed from and a healthy habitat to live in. By providing appropriate plants for native pollinators, you are helping to support biodiversity in our region and ensuring the survival of these vital species! We’ll discuss the characteristics of plants that attract various types of pollinators (bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, birds and flies) and how to select plants for local pollinators. We’ll also discuss the impact of harsh insecticides and why Honey Field Farm has made the commitment to being neonicotinoid free and why you should consider shopping neonic-free.
Join us for an evening at the greenhouses where we will enjoy butterfly tea under the twinkling lights and take in the sights and smells of all the blooming flowers around us. This event is BYOB.
